We first met on a blind date at a charming German bar in downtown Kingston in late August of 2017. The introduction was orchestrated by Mike’s mother, Laurie, who had met me—Jenn!—and thought we might be a good match. Just two months into knowing each other, I gave Mike a key to my apartment, and we’ve been living together ever since.

In the summer of 2019, Lieu came into our lives, becoming our beloved furry companion. We’ve cherished every moment with her.

When the pandemic began, we moved into Bud and Laurie’s home in Battersea, Ontario, where we spent the next four years, building new memories and deepening our bond.

Throughout our journey together, we’ve discovered a shared love of travel. We’ve been fortunate to explore many incredible places as a couple—Dryden, Ottawa, Vancouver, Point Roberts, Whitehorse, Miramichi, Montreal, Toronto, Las Vegas, Cozumel, Portugal and beyond.

Whether hiking with Lieu, experiencing new destinations, or simply cuddling on the couch, we’ve come to realize that we are each other’s home. <3
